We got up early, got our free breakfast, then off to get the ferry to Victoria BC at 10:00. We arrived near 11:30. Crossing was a little rough at first. We checked into Best Western, near the ferry landing and walked over to get a bus to Burchart Gardens. We ate lunch in the Blue Poppy Cafe - beautiful. I had salmon, noodle salad, and a large cookie for dessert. We walked around the gardens. It was sunny and pleasant. Such an amazing variety of tulips with spectacular colors. We got the bus back to the city at 3:30. We walked through some shops but we were too tired to do much. Ate dinner in an English Pub. I had steak and kidney pie, Mary Harriett had liver and onions, and Arlene had a chicken pot pie. We took a cab back to the motel. I took a short walk in the evening when all the lights were on. I got a book for Helena.
