I had a restless night. Mary Harriett says the room was stuffy. We got our stuff together, had our free breakfast and went to Kmart to get a battery for Mary Harriett’s camera. We got gas at $1.39/gal. We were back to I90 until Rt. 16 went south east. The road was good until we got near the Crazy Horse Monument, then we hit road work on a twisty, turning narrow road. We paid $16 to get into the visitors center at Crazy Horse. We saw a movie, took pictures and ate lunch. That was all that we did. We drove on to Mt. Rushmore and paid our $8 to park. We took pictures and got some stuff at the gift shop; a charm, some candy and a book of flowers. We headed north on Rt 16 to Rapid City SD. Drove I90 to Murdo SD, where we stayed at a Best Western and ate at the Star Family Restaurant. I had buffalo burgers, Mary Harriett had soup, grilled cheese and fruit. We watched Gene Kelly, Frank Sinatra movies.
